Rob StraathofChief Executive Officer
Rob Straathof joined Liberis as CEO in 2015 and has a wealth of experience in the financial sector. Rob has spent the last few years at various online lenders including the UK’s first digital business lender, Everline.
John SheekeyChief Operating Officer
John has spent his career building and scaling data, marketing and financial service businesses; from early UK business at Capital One, to developing and launching the Nectar loyalty programme with the founding team. He then ran the money and banking business at MoneySupermarket.com, and most recently started up the European arm of US data business, Datalogix.
Morné Van DalenChief Technology Officer
Morné has more than 20 years of technology and business experience spanning start-up and multinational companies, including tenures at Skype, Microsoft and more recently WorldRemit under his belt. He is passionate about technology, building great teams and how to best support the business with those.
Kenneth RossChief People Officer
Kenneth has over 20 years HR experience, primarily in UK and International financial services, including global and EMEA HR roles at Barclaycard, HSBC and Citigroup. He is responsible for driving the People and Talent agenda across Liberis.
Tom BasonFinance Director
Tom brings many years of invaluable experience in audit and financial management to Liberis; including two years spent at leading asset management and securities services firm, Bank of New York Mellon. He is responsible for the company financials and the company financial control environment.
Greg MrkusicDirector of Product & Decisioning
Greg has 18 years of experience in Financial Services in the UK, South Africa and Spain. Before joining Liberis in 2015, he was Director of EMEA Consumer Risk at PayPal. Greg has an MA in Economics from Christ’s College, Cambridge University.
James WhittinghamCommercial Director
James manages the Commercial teams and is responsible for existing Partnerships, new Business Development, and International Expansion. He has a background in Investment Management and Technology Consulting, and experience with early stage businesses via the Blenheim Chalcot group.
Chloe FentonMarketing Director
Chloe has spent the last 12 years helping take high-growth technology businesses to market. With a particular focus on taking challenger brands into new international territories, she’s helped companies such as Juniper Networks, Good Technology (now Blackberry), Lookout and Liberis Group successfully expand and raise their profile.
Danielle WilsonPartner Acquisition Director
Danielle has over 10 years’ experience in the industry, having run Liberis’ largest partner brokerage since 2009 before joining the Liberis team to grow their Partnerships channels. Over the past 5 years she has launched our Broker, Affiliate and ISO channels and more recently, completed our first international expansion before moving on to run our New Strategic Partnerships in the UK .
Alex IvisonUK Commercial Director
Alex has 15 years of experience working on credit risk at Capital One, Lloyds Banking Group, New Day and Liberis where his experience covers both consumer and commercial lending as well as covering a variety of products such as loans, cards and business cash advances. Alex has been with Liberis for 4 years where he has been responsible for Decision Science, Credit Risk, Analytics and Underwriting and is currently European Risk Director.
Molly LevyProduct Director
Molly runs product management at Liberis, with responsibility for the core platform for partners and the end-to-end experience of customers. Her background is in building and scaling startups, with a focus on customer-driven innovation and automation. Most recently, she was VP of Operations at San Francisco based fintech, TrueAccord.
Pedram TadayonGeneral Manager, Europe
Pedram has around 20 years’ experience within the financial industry and fintech. Prior to Liberis Pedram was the CEO of Emric, software provider in credit management, SVP sales in Nets, COO Entercard and head of network services in Nordics. He holds a master of science in engineering from KTH in Stockholm.
James MendelsohnGeneral Manager, US
James Mendelsohn is a seasoned executive in the US payments and small business lending industry. He held leadership positions in marketing and strategy at Capital One, and was a leader in McKinsey’s marketing practice, focused on financial services. James led marketing, sales, and strategy for CAN Capital, one of the largest nonbank SMB lenders, and was COO of Breakout Capital, a startup focused on invoice financing.
