• Moon joins Liberis to manage its regulatory obligations as it expands into new markets
  • A 20+ year industry veteran, Moon has held senior legal roles at Credit Karma, Wise and NatWest Group

28th May 2025, London - Liberis, a leading global embedded finance platform, today announced the appointment of Jane Moon as its Chief Legal Officer. Based out of Liberis’ London office, Moon is tasked with managing Liberis’ regulatory obligations as it continues its expansion into new markets, alongside navigating the legal considerations of AI use when developing credit risk models.

"Jane is a talented, passionate legal professional with the kind of fintech and financial services experience you don’t see every day," said Rob Straathof, CEO Liberis. "This is a pivotal time in Liberis’ growth. We’re expanding geographically and evolving our product strategy. It’s exciting but also brings it challenges. I have every confidence that Jane is the exact right person to help us navigate global and regional regulations, build trust with our partners and new customers, and support our ambitious international growth plans”.

Prior to joining Liberis, Moon spent six years as Head of Legal International at Credit Karma. A 20+ year industry veteran, she has also held senior legal roles at Wise and NatWest Group.

“I’m a strong advocate of the power of fintech to democratise access to finance. Traditional financial services can feel intimidating or out of reach for many people, especially small business owners,” said Jane Moon, Chief Legal Officer, Liberis. “I believe in the work that Liberis is doing to support small businesses in a responsible and meaningful way and am excited by the challenges and opportunities that entering new markets presents. From a legal perspective, strong legal and regulatory fundamentals are critical enablers for the kind of global expansion we’re targeting. I am excited to be part of shaping that growth journey.”

Moon attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics. She then pursued further education at Georgetown University Law Center, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
